All rugged up

Time to make the floor the feature? We’ve got you covered.

Living in cosy-town

Don’t think you’re missing out just because you’ve got carpet – rugs look great on any surface and instantly change the look of an existing space. Try putting one in high-traffic areas – you’ll notice the change of feel underfoot in the living room or a hallway. Furniture and accessories from Nordic Fusion.

Match it up

No matter if you choose to go bright or bold, calm or classic, get the extra mile out of your rug by matching it with other accessories. Here, stripes work wonders with this one’s loud nature – or play with like colours for a more subtle effect. Rug from Tsar.

Looking after your rug

Information from Hali Rugs

GENERAL CARE
Regular vacuuming keeps your carpet in top condition.

AVOIDING STAINS
Dab (don’t rub) all liquid spills with a sponge immediately. Use salt or soda water to draw out red wine spills

STAIN/SPOT REMOVAL
Use a very mild soap or wool wash to spot-clean stains. Anything with harsh chemicals may lift the dye.

FLUFFING
All new rugs fluff until they settle as there are still loose fibres in them.

SPROUTING
Occasionally an individual strand can come loose, but don’t pull it as you will ruin the integrity of the rug.  Simply cut the loose strand level with the pile height.

SHADING
Shading is characteristic of all handknotted carpets and is referred to as ‘abrash’. The shading is due to pile lying at different angles and can range from a small patch to a strip across the rug.
